Terms of use

The honest summary: the site is free and informational, and no figure here should be the last thing you check before leaving home or filling the tank.

What this site is

A reference site about travel and getting around. It carries three kinds of thing: fuel prices published by a regulator or a statistics department (DESNZ in the UK, ANP in Brazil, MITECO in Spain, MIMIT in Italy, CRE in Mexico, the European Commission Weekly Oil Bulletin for Austria), public-transport information from open data and official pages (the Transport for London Unified API, Overture Maps Places, GTFS feeds from Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre), and destination guides written by hand from sources cited field by field.

We do not sell tickets, book hotels, act as a travel agency or run any transport service, and we have no relationship with any filling station, operator or hotel chain. Nobody pays to appear here.

Fuel prices change — which is why every figure is dated

This is the most important clause here. A pump price has a very short shelf life: DESNZ publishes a weekly national average, while the Spanish and Italian portals publish per station with daily updates, and between our collection and your tank the value can move again. Every page prints the week or day it refers to and links the source, and that link is the authority — not our page.

For the same reason we publish no hotel or ticket prices: with no booking API behind us, any figure of ours would be stale the same day. Where a reader expects a price and we have no maintainable source, the page explains the range and tells you where to check instead of inventing a number.

Transport information changes too

Timetables, line status, fares and travel rules change by administrative decision, often without notice and without the open data catching up. Where a published GTFS feed exists, the page says so and shows the file date; where it does not, the page says that plainly and points at the official app or site instead of pretending to have a timetable.

Live Underground status is a snapshot of the moment the page was built, not a guarantee for your journey. Before travelling, confirm with the operator. Nothing here serves as a ticket, a receipt or a legal document.

What you may do with it

Read it, print it, quote it and send the link to anyone. If you quote a figure, quote the official source too — the authority is theirs, not ours.

You may not copy the whole site or scrape the pages in bulk to build something similar. The official data is public and you can go and get it at the source; the written text, the structure, the choice of cities and the translations are ours.

Ads and outbound links

Ads pay for the site. They are served by third parties and never depend on the subjects we choose: there is no sponsored destination, no featured station and no text traded for money. Pages that admit they have no open data for that city carry no ads at all.

Links to government bodies, transport operators, Wikimedia and city councils lead off this site, and what happens there is not under our control.

Changes and applicable law

These terms can change when the site changes. The version that applies is the one published on this page.

Any dispute follows Brazilian law, that being the country of the person responsible for the site.
